We are passionate about walking alongside women who are working in the sex industry

Our aim is to offer friendship and support to women in a non-judgemental and non-discriminatory way, whilst nurturing self-worth and giving help to access the appropriate services if necessary. We seek to build genuine relationships and offer bespoke support to each individual as we recognise each woman’s story is unique. We seek to meet immediate needs and refer to appropriate services and agencies when needed.

There are a number of ways in which we offer support to women

Street Outreach

Once a week we reach out to women who engage in street work to offer them refreshments, safe sex essentials and toiletries. We hope to establish relationships with them in order to offer support in other contexts of their life. We strive to know each woman by name and remember aspects of their lives that they have told us about the week before, so to show them that to us they are so much more than what their body can offer.

Offstreet Support

We have good relationships with some venues in Derbyshire and visit the women working in these places to offer support and build relationships. We are not there to stop them from working but provide a space to ask questions about sexual health, mental health support or accessing other services

Sexual Health Clinic

We have partnered with the Derbyshire Sexual Health team to run monthly sexual health clinics at St Thomas Church, Derby. Women can make appointments or drop in during clinic times to receive professional advice and support, hot food, and a safe place to chat.

Befriending

We offer one-to-one befriending support with women to build friendships, offer a compassionate ear to listen, offer practical support to aid them in addressing various social issues and attending health appointments.

Volunteer

We have an amazing team of volunteers who are a valuable part of our team and we are always looking for more to join us! Volunteer opportunities include street outreach, cake baking, befriending, fundraising and prayer support.
